Save the date for the 8th Annual Gull Lake Frozen Fore! Described as “World’s Largest Golf & Snowmobile Event,” this year’s extravaganza will kick off February 22-24, 2013,with proceeds going to local non-profits Camp Confidence, Kids Against Hunger, Mt. Ski Gull and the Blue Line Club.
Friday evening begins with the 1st Annual Frozen Flop where participants can take an icy leap into Gull Lake for the proposed charities. Following is the big, heated Tent Party on the ice with live music from Mother’s Hotdish featuring members from Soul Asylum and Prince’s Revolution. Hundreds of people enjoy the ice bar, shot luge, food and plenty of fun!
Saturday’s Frozen Fore Golf event kicks off at 9:00a.m. Seven sponsoring locations will represent a specific continent in part of the “Around the World” theme. Meanwhile back on the lake the 4 on 4 Pond Hockey will begin, while the Digital Scavenger Hunt continues.
Sunday’s line up includes the 4 on 4 Pond Hockey finals, the Digital Scavenger Show and the much raved about Frozen Fore Food Fest at Hole-in-the-Day Bay. Stop by, experience multiple local vendor culinary creations and vote for your favorite. The event will be capped off with an award ceremony with plenty of drawings and prizes.
Advance Tickets are $45 per person while tickets sold the weekend of will be available at $50 per person. You can register at one of the sponsoring locations or online. You can also buy our Frozen Fore Weekend package at GVL and includes your lodging, breakfast each morning and your pass is included!
