de’Vine – Winter Culinary & Wine Experience

devine_color

If you love great wine and food, get your taste buds ready for this special weekend! Grand View’s 1st annual winter wine weekend offers a variety of flavorful fun, education, and of course, more than enough wine. Just over 110 vintages to be exact.

The event kicks off Saturday, January 26th with an afternoon of culinary and wine seminars, classes and demos. Our friends from Cooks of Crocus Hill will be running a demonstration called “Risotto 3 Ways” where they will demo proper cooking procedures, recipes, hints and tips and, most importantly, the opportunity to taste these exquisite flavors. Other classes will include Reading French Wine Labels, Sushi Making and Saki Tasting, Discovering Italian Wines, Cheese Tastings and more.

Following the afternoon seminars, classes and demos, we invite everyone to our wine cellarand restaurant, Cru, for a soup tasting and a chance to experience some of our finer wines among the area’s intimate atmosphere.

Saturday evening is the real taste bud kicker – The de’Vine Grand Tasting. Attendees will taste over 100 wines from reps and distributors throughout the state and help you discover new flavors and wine favorites. To compliment the tantalizing wine, four of our restaurants will demo several culinary delights and heavy appetizers at each display, allowing each individual to pair and contrast some exceptional combinations.

Following the Grand Tasting, attendees can retreat to a campfire seminar dedicated to a special s‘more tasting and port wine discussion. Others can relax and discuss as we prepare for the final dueling piano show from Crazy Keys.

Furthermore, those who RSVP early will have the ability to participate in two very special and unique events that have very limited seating. Friday night we are honored to have Christophe Hedges from Hedges Family Estates in Washington joining our very own Executive Chef Michael Manders for an incredible wine dinner—five wines with five courses for an additional $70 per person. And on Sunday morning, join Cooks of Crocus Hill and Laurent-Perrier for an exclusive Champagne Brunch Demo in Cru for an additional $25 per person.

Excluding the special events, the weekend is only $199 per person, which includes lodging and breakfast each morning. This also includes one of Grand View’s signature wines and a special gift from us. For those who already have cabins in the area, the Saturday Event pass is only $95 per person.
